Absence Case Manager
You keep control of absence management. From the first sick report to a sustainable return to work.
Solliciteer!Absence Case Manager
A sickness absence case that has come to a standstill? That is exactly the kind of challenge that gives you energy. You want to understand what is going on, which steps need to be taken and who needs to take action. You do not wait and see, you take control.
For Home of People, we are looking for an experienced Absence Case Manager who can independently manage sickness absence and reintegration processes for our flex workers. Someone who brings solid expertise and experience with self-insurance arrangements, who is confident and decisive, while always keeping an eye on the person behind the case.
You combine a personal approach with a sharp focus on the process. To you, good absence management means listening when needed, asking the right questions when necessary and taking action as soon as possible.
What will you do?
As an Absence Case Manager, you are the first point of contact for flex workers who are absent due to illness, and you take responsibility for the entire absence and reintegration process. You assess sickness notifications, conduct intake interviews, analyse each situation and draw up absence management plans. You then monitor progress and ensure that agreements and actions are followed up.
Your responsibilities include:
- Professionally supporting flex workers throughout their sickness absence and reintegration process;
- Coordinating and monitoring absence and reintegration cases;
- Working closely with occupational health services, occupational physicians and our back office;
- Ensuring that all parties involved are informed clearly and on time;
- Keeping case files, reports and related administration accurate and up to date;
- Working in accordance with the Dutch Gatekeeper Improvement Act (Wet verbetering poortwachter) and other relevant legislation and regulations;
- Identifying risks and bottlenecks and advising management accordingly.
In short: you are in control of the case and make sure progress continues.
Who are we looking for?
We are not looking for a case manager who simply ticks boxes and monitors deadlines. We are looking for someone who takes ownership.
You understand what is expected from both employers and employees during sickness absence and reintegration. You work carefully and empathetically, but you are also comfortable being clear and assertive when agreements are not being followed or action is required.
You are able to set priorities, maintain an overview of multiple cases at the same time and feel responsible for ensuring that every case is followed up correctly.
What do we offer?
- A gross monthly salary between €2,864 and €4,597, based on full-time employment and depending on your experience;
- 25 days of annual leave;
- A working week of 32 to 40 hours;
- A company phone and laptop;
- Plenty of room for initiative, personal development and career growth;
- An informal and ambitious working environment where your ideas are valued.
What do you bring?
- Higher professional education (HBO) level of working and thinking, for example in Human Resources, Business Administration or Case Management;
- Demonstrable experience in sickness absence management and reintegration;
- Up-to-date knowledge of legislation and regulations relating to sickness absence, including the Dutch Gatekeeper Improvement Act (Wet verbetering poortwachter);
- Experience working with case management systems;
- Preferably experience within the staffing or temporary employment sector;
- Good command of both Dutch and English;
- Preferably proficiency in Polish and/or Romanian.
Just as importantly, you are a hands-on professional. You enjoy working at a fast pace, switch easily between people and cases and do not leave matters unresolved unnecessarily. You know when a situation requires understanding and when it is time to be clear and ensure that the next step is taken.
Why this role?
Because in this role, you are not standing on the sidelines. You are involved in the entire sickness absence process from start to finish, giving you a direct impact on professional support and a fast, sustainable return to work.
You will deal with the social, legal and administrative aspects of absence management. It is precisely this combination that makes the role attractive to someone who genuinely enjoys case management.
